Dear Friends:
The National Toxicology Program’s (NTP) Board of Scientific Counselors (BSC) has unanimously accepted the recommendations of its working group, calling for the swift publication of the NTP’s state of the science report and accompany meta-analysis on fluoride neurotoxicity with only minor edits to improve clarity. The chair of the BSC, David L. Eaton, PhD, summed up the report by stating that "Overall, the NTP did a very good job," which along with the board's unanimous vote and calls for immediate publication, contradicted baseless claims by pro-fluoridationists that there were any meaningful inadequacies with the report or its fluoridation-damning conclusions.
This is an encouraging result that FAN supports since the promoters of fluoridation have worked for years to weaken and censor the NTP's systematic review, which detailed that 52 of 55 studies linked decreases in child IQ with increased fluoride and concluded that, “[t]he data support a consistent inverse association between fluoride exposure and children’s IQ.” Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) emails obtained by FAN's attorneys documented repeated attempts and sustained pressure from pro-fluoridation agencies including the Centers For Disease Control's Division of Oral Health and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR)--working in tandem with lobbyists from the American Dental Association--to smear, discredit, and prevent the NTP's review from being released (watch Attorney Connett's presentation below to learn more)................................. I wonder if they now regret vilifying the unvaccinated
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
- According to a May 11, 2023, report by the British Express, Britons are dying by the tens of thousands, “but no one knows why”
- Between May and December 2022, there were 32,441 excess deaths in England and Wales, according to data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), and that doesn’t include COVID-related deaths
- In 2022, the No. 1 cause of excess deaths in the U.K. was signs and symptoms of “ill-defined conditions.” In England, this nebulous cause of death was 36.9% above the five-year average, and in Wales, it was 30.4% above average
- The U.K. was the first European country to approve the Pfizer COVID jab and began its mass injection campaign December 8, 2020. It currently has the highest COVID-19 jab rate in all of Europe
- The misuse of mechanical ventilation created the appearance that COVID was exceptionally deadly, which in turn helped promote acceptance of the experimental COVID shots that are now a leading cause of frequent sickness, chronic disability and excess deaths

Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 22nd
Neil O'Brien The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Health and Social Care
Prevention is crucial to the work of the health and social care system, including in dentistry, and everyone has a role to play. The Office for Health Improvements and Disparities (OHID) has published an evidence-based toolkit, ‘Delivering Better Oral Health - an evidence-based toolkit for prevention’, for dental practice teams to support preventive advice and treatment for their patients available at the following link:
Water fluoridation is a safe public health intervention to improve the oral health of both adults and children and helps to tackle inequalities. The Health and Care Act will make it simpler to expand water fluoridation schemes across England. We announced funding to begin expansion, subject to consultation, across the North-East of England.
We know that good oral health in the early stages of childhood is likely to lead to better long-term dental health. There is good evidence for the effectiveness of daily supervised toothbrushing programmes in schools and early year settings, particularly in deprived areas. Such schemes can be commissioned by local authorities or the National Health Service and exist across the country.
Following the implementation of ‘Our plan for patients’, we are planning to announce additional reforms of the NHS Dental System shortly.

True Scale of Heart Death Crisis Hidden by Inflation in ‘Expected’ Number of Deaths
Annually about 1,500 people are killed on Britain’s roads. Just imagine if that figure increased by 5,000, there’d be the most awful fuss! Yet, it’s likely that across England heart failure deaths could be 5,000 higher in 2024 than in 2020 and still no ‘excess’ deaths would be recorded. How could this be? It’s all to do with inflation. Only this time it’s the level of ‘expected’ deaths that’s being inflated away rather than the pound in your pocket.
Already, in 2023, the expected level of heart failure deaths is 7% higher than it was in 2020. This means that we could see 3,000 more people die from heart failure in 2023 than in 2020 without registering any ‘excess’ heart failure deaths. In 2024 an increase of 5,000 heart attack deaths over the 2020 figure would also be reported as no ‘excess’ deaths.
‘Expected’ deaths are calculated by averaging deaths in prior years. The average will increase as data from prior years are replaced with data from recent years. As heart failure deaths in 2021 and 2022 have been so high the ‘expected’ rate of death goes up accordingly. Heart failure deaths in 2023 look set to continue this trend.
The latest data release from the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities incorporates six new weeks of data in 2023, from week ending March 24th 2023 to week ending April 28th 2023. This can be directly compared to the six weeks in 2020 at the start of the pandemic, from week ending the March 27th 2020 to week ending May 1st 2020.
During this six-week period in 2020 it was expected that 7,142 people would die from heart failure. This ‘expected’ death rate from heart failure was calculated using heart failure deaths from 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. By contrast, in 2023 it was expected that there would be 7,619 deaths from heart failure in the corresponding six-week period. That’s a 7% increase. So, when we look at excess heart failure deaths in 2023 they appear to be far lower than they would be if we had compared them to the 2020 base level.
In 2024, we’ll have lost 2015, 2016 and 2017 from the average and gained 2021, 2022 and 2023. The average will have increased to something like 7,856, a 10% increase on the 2020 figure.
At this juncture it’s worth just checking whether all-cause deaths and other causes of death, such as cancer, have increased at the same rate as heart failure. You may not surprised to learn that they haven’t. Whilst the level of expected all-cause deaths and cancer have increased by about 3%, the expected rate of heart failure has increased more than twice as fast to almost 7%. What’s so special about heart failure?
Having looked at the ‘expected’ numbers, what about the actual number of deaths?
In the six-week period of weeks 12-17 in 2023 there were 8,804 heart failure deaths. If we compare this to the expected level in weeks 12-17 in 2020 of 7,142 we can see that this amounts to a 23% increase. Of course, the reported ‘excess’ heart failure death rate isn’t reported as being 23% but rather 16% (still a big increase) because the ‘expected’ rate of heart failure deaths has been inflated over the past three years.
The next question to ask is, is an increase of 23% significant? Well, the increase in all-cause deaths in 2020 over the ‘expected’ level of deaths, bearing in mind that this was the year of a ‘once in a century’ pandemic, was about 14%. So, yes, I think a 23% increase is really something that should be looked at. A lot more people are dying from heart failure than was previously the case.
Following previous articles in the Daily Sceptic I’ve been criticised below-the-line for suggesting that the vaccine delivered some societal benefits. Specifically, I contend that they provided a narrative that allowed society to reopen. I stand by that view. In the absence of the vaccines I don’t believe that society would have reopened up as quickly as it did. That said, the only reason it was shut down in the first place was due to the panicked decisions of Government. I’m not a natural anti-vaxxer, I’m just anti-vaccines that don’t work and that people are coerced or tricked into taking.

'Astonishing rise' in number of people with heart condition that causes strokes
There has been an "astonishing rise" in the number of people in the UK diagnosed with a heart rhythm condition that puts them at increased risk of a stroke, the British Heart Foundation's medical director has said.
The number of people diagnosed with atrial fibrillation – a condition which causes an irregular heartbeat – has now passed 1.5 million for the first time, figures show. It has increased from one million in 2013.
The new total means that one in 45 people in the UK are known to be living with the condition. Someone with atrial fibrillation is five times more likely to have a potentially fatal or life-changing stroke, the BHF said.
READ MORE: Since the pandemic, Brits are mysteriously dying in their thousands
The BHF said better recognition and diagnosis of the condition is likely to be the key factor behind the rise in the number of people known to have atrial fibrillation. But it is estimated that there are at least another 270,000 people in the UK who remain undiagnosed and unaware.
The charity said further research is needed to find new ways to identify people who are at risk so they can be diagnosed earlier. The most common symptoms of atrial fibrillation are palpitations, breathlessness and dizziness.
However, many people do not experience any symptoms, meaning that they are unaware of the condition and treatments, as well as their increased risk of stroke.

'Brits are dying in their tens of thousands - and we don't really have any idea why'
Tens of thousands more Brits died than usual from May to December 2022, excluding Covid as a cause of death, raising serious questions as to why so many died
Tens of thousands more Brits were dying than expected and experts aren’t quite sure why that is.
From May to December last year, there were 32,441 excess deaths in England and Wales, excluding deaths from Covid.
Excess deaths are defined as the number of people who died above the five-year average - worked out excluding 2020 due to how Covid spiked death figures that year.
This means that over 32,000 Brits would’ve been expected to be alive, but died according to Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures across this period.
These shocking figures raised a number of important questions about what is happening to the country’s populations, how it's changing, and why so many more people are dying.

Federal science panel recommends revisions to fluoride-IQ report
ADA calls for transparency, clarity and better research methods
A federal science panel recommended May 4 that a National Toxicology Program draft report and meta-analysis examining potential associations between fluoride and IQ be revised to account for potential study biases and more recent literature.
The NTP Board of Scientific Counselors voted unanimously to adopt the findings and recommendations of a BSC Working Group, convened to determine whether NTP adequately addressed outside questions and criticisms of a systematic literature review examining fluoride exposure and children’s IQ.
The systematic review, which has been underway for several years, is intended to summarize the literature about a potential relationship between fluoride exposure and neurodevelopmental and cognitive health. The original report has been revised several times, a common practice for peer-reviewed papers.
NTP Director Rick Woychik convened the scientific review panel after questioning whether NTP had fully resolved the methodological concerns expressed by several federal agencies and others, including the report’s original peer reviewer, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.
The BSC Working Group report rated nearly 13% of NTP’s responses to comments on the draft state of the science report and more than one third (35.5 percent) of NTP’s responses to comments on the meta-analysis to be inadequate. The panel recommended or suggested revisions to the meta-analysis, based on 57.4 percent of reviewer comments.
Howard Pollick, B.D.S., a fluoridation consultant for the California Department of Public Health, health sciences professor at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry and a member of the ADA’s National Fluoridation Advisory Committee, testified on the ADA’s behalf. Dr. Pollick questioned why NTP switched peer reviewers after the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine reported in 2021 that neither of the first two drafts would survive scientific scrutiny without major revision.

Loose Women ITV star Carol McGiffin was forced to quit after a bizarre radio rant, including claiming the Covid pandemic was a World Health Organisation plot to take over every government.
Ms McGiffin, 63, revealed last week that she had left the lunchtime show, protesting that ITV insisted she sign a contract with clauses that were 'totally unjust and unworkable'.
Now The Mail on Sunday can disclose that a free speech row was at the centre of her departure, after a backlash over her tirade in an interview on TNT talk radio.

From Ann Wills
Thanks Joy for the important fluoride info you sent today. I clicked on one heading which says that some children already have a high intake of fluoride from fluoride toothpaste alone. See below. Ann.
Dental products are a major source of fluoride exposure, particularly for children. Fluoridated dental products include toothpastes, mouth rinses, fluoride gels, fluoride varnishes, and fluoride supplements.
How Much Fluoride Are in these Products?
Fluoride Toothpastes (1,000 to 1,500 ppm)
- Over 95% of toothpastes now contain fluoride.
- A single strip of toothpaste covering the length of a child’s brush contains between 0.75 to 1.5 mg of fluoride. This exceeds the amount of fluoride in most prescription fluoride supplements (0.25 to 1.0 mg).
- Many young children swallow over 50% of the paste added to their brush, particularly if they use candy-flavored varieties and if they are not supervised during brushing to ensure they spit and fully rinse. Research has shown that some children swallow more fluoride from toothpaste alone than is recommended from all sources combined.
- Although dentists now recommend that children only use “a pea-sized amount” of toothpaste, many children use more than this, particularly when the toothpaste has bubble gum and watermelon flavors.
- Ingesting toothpaste during childhood is a major risk factor for dental fluorosis, and can also cause symptoms of acute fluoride toxicity (e.g., stomach pain, etc).
- The FDA now requires a poison warning on all fluoride toothpastes sold in the U.S.

If fluoride, including water fluoridation, is such a panacea, why are cavities still the number one, chronic disease globally?
We are focussing our attention and energies on the wrong things. Instead of arguing about who is pro- and who is anti-fluoride, instead of finding ways to bury research and downplay scientific findings, instead of spending time and money on trying to find errors and issues with the current data, instead of investing all this energy into the TCSA Federal Lawsuit in an attempt to remove fluoride from our water…why are we not attacking the elephant in the room?
Big Food.

Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 3rd
Neil O'Brien The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Health and Social Care
We are currently working on a plan for dentistry, to improve access to dental care across England. There are a number of fronts where we need to take further action to support and recover activity in National Health Service dentistry, to improve access to care for all ages.
Our plan for dentistry will build upon the first package of reforms agreed in July 2022, including the initial changes to the Units of Dental Activity (UDA) system which were introduced as part of the package, such as the changes to banding and introduction of a minimum UDA value. It will address how we continue to improve access, particularly for new patients, and how we make NHS work more attractive to ensure NHS dentists are incentivised to deliver more NHS care.
In autumn 2022 we announced that funding has been secured to begin expansion of water fluoridation, subject to consultation, across the North East. Water fluoridation is an effective public health intervention to reduce the incidence of tooth decay and oral health inequalities and this expansion would enable an additional 1.6 million people to benefit from water fluoridation.
