 The Fluoride Action Network received sad news from New Zealand this week.  We learned of the passing of long-time fluoride free campaigner Don Church of Ashburton, New Zealand. Outside of his extensive work on fluoridation, Mr. Church was a retired Charted Accountant, a professional Trustee, a husband, and father. 

Some of Mr. Church's work can be viewed in FAN's News Archive, including his 2014 open letter and advertisement to residents of Mid-Canterbury calling out and revealing misinformation shared by fluoridation proponents. 

While I never had the distinguished pleasure of meeting him, FAN's former Director and current Science Advisor, Paul Connett did spend time with him on a number of occasions, even staying at his home during trips to speak on fluoridation. Paul shared the following message:

I'm very sad to hear this news.  Don was a wonderful man and fluoridation fighter. Mark has written a very moving and insightful review of his fluoride work and his sense of humor. I stayed in his home in Ashburton (and in Christchurch)  at least three times and once with my wife Ellen. He and his wife were wonderful hosts. His campaigning and generosity is everything that Mark has described. A great loss to the movement and to his many colleagues and co-workers.

We at FAN second the sentiments shared by Paul above and by Mark Atkin of Fluoride Free New Zealand below, an organization that Mr. Church volunteered with since its formation 20 years ago.

• Since the rollout of the experimental COVID shots, U.S. health officials have adamantly claimed the shots are safe for pregnant women and their unborn babies

• As of August 12, 2022, the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting (VAERS) database listed 4,941 miscarriages post-COVID jab. For comparison, the fetal death reports for all other vaccines reported to VAERS in the last 30 years is 2,239
• Israeli research found the Pfizer COVID jab impairs male fertility for three months after each dose, dropping sperm concentration by 15.4% and total motile count by 22.1%, compared to baseline

• August 11, 2022, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reversed its COVID-19 guidelines, thereby vindicating every “misinformation spreader” out there
• The CDC is now advocating for taking personal responsibility and for everyone to decide for themselves “which prevention behaviors to use and when (at all times or at specific times), based on their own risk for severe illness and that of members of their household, their risk tolerance, and setting-specific factors”
• The CDC is also giving up on discrimination based on COVID jab status, stating, its “COVID-19 prevention recommendations no longer differentiate based on a person’s vaccination status because breakthrough infections occur.” They also admit natural immunity exists and works
• Testing is now reserved for those who “are symptomatic, or have a known or suspected exposure to someone with COVID-19,” isolation is only for those who are symptomatic and have tested positive, and contact tracing is now restricted to health care settings and select “high-risk congregate settings”
• The CDC’s about-face appears to be politically motivated, to give the Biden administration a “win” before the midterm elections. Post-election plans include “the biggest vaccination campaign in history,” so tyrannical overreaches may later resume, even as mounting data show the COVID shots are causing depopulation

Excess Non-Covid Deaths Top 12,500 in 14 Weeks As Oxford Professor Joins Call for Government to Investigate Alarming Trend

There have now been 12,517 excess non-Covid deaths registered in England and Wales in the 14 weeks since April 23rd, according to the latest official data from the Office for National Statistics, released on Tuesday.

In the week ending July 29th, the most recent week for which data are available, 11,013 deaths were registered in England and Wales, which is 1,678 (18%) above the five-year average for the week. Of these, 810 mentioned COVID-19 on the death certificate as a contributory cause and 531 mentioned COVID-19 as underlying cause, leaving 1,147 deaths from a different underlying cause. Note that this was the week following the brief but intense heatwave (with recorded temperatures topping 40°C for the first time in some areas), so some of these will be heatwave deaths, as will many of the additional Covid deaths (being people who happened to have Covid at the tim
