Nottinghamshire County Council Champions Expansion of Water Fluoridation Schemes

To enhance the oral health for all residents the council is taking the lead in advocating for the expansion of water fluoridation to the whole of the county.

Water fluoridation, a scientifically proven method of adding small amounts of fluoride to drinking water, is a key player in the fight against tooth decay. Already, 30% of Nottinghamshire residents, around 247,000 people, are reaping the benefits of this public health measure.

The Council is now setting its sights on extending these benefits to other areas of the County. The potential rewards are impressive: a 35% reduction in decayed, missing and filled teeth in fiver-year-old children, a 56% decrease in hospital admissions for tooth extractions in children from the most deprived areas, and a remarkable return of £12.71 after five years and £21.98 after ten years for every £1 invested in fluoridation.

Councillor Dr John Doddy, Chairman of the Health and Wellbeing board, who proposed the approved motion to champion the oral health agenda, stated: “This is a health inequality that is completely preventable. If we fluoridated the water across Nottinghamshire, we would see a 15% increase in five year old children who are completely free of dental decay at all and there would be a significant reduction of people going into hospital for tooth extractions.

“The evidence for fluoridation is irrefutable, it’s backed by the World Health Organisation, the British dental associations are calling out for it as well. We want to bring together partners and organisations across our county, to work together to improve the oral health of everyone in our county.”

The County Council will foster collaboration with partners across the county, including district and borough councils, Nottingham City Council, Integrated Care Boards, Integrated Care System, and the water companies to delve into the benefits of the wate fluoridations scheme. While the final decision rests with Central Government, Nottinghamshire County Council is actively lobbying for new or varied schemes.

Any changes to water fluoridation will involve a public consultation led by the Government.

Councillor wants fluoride added to all of Nottinghamshire’s household water supplies

A doctor and councillor is campaigning for fluoride to be added to all tap water in Nottinghamshire to help prevent tooth decay.

Councillor Dr John Doddy, who is also Chairman of the Health & Wellbeing Board at Nottinghamshire County Council, said he is the ‘pied piper’ of a campaign for water fluoridation in the county.

He said it is ‘insanity’ that fluoride has not been added to water across the whole country yet.

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral found in some soils, food and drink which strengthens the outer surface of teeth, making them more resistant to decay.

It is added to dental products including many toothpastes, but can also be put into tap water so it reaches whole populations.

Push for fluoridation reminds me of the Hydra, in Greek legend, a gigantic water-snake-like monster with nine heads, one of which was immortal.

WATER FLUORIDATION: THE WATER BROTHERS' FULL INTERVIEW WITH DR. PAUL CONNETT (PART 1 OF 5) POISONING

You need this factual report! Fluoride is dispensed to everyone, as if it's actually medicine, with no control over dose and no doctor involved. It's not even pharmaceutical grade medicine. It isn't even medicine. It's more toxic, than lead! It is insanity to force fluoride on defenseless kids! Look up 'dental fluorosis' or 'skeletal fluorosis'. Inform yourself! Look up 'mottling'. No young person wants to have mottled teeth. Fluoride damages teeth.
Why should YOUR water company pay for a damaging product that ruins your teeth and damages the brains of children, lowering IQ? Fluoride damages teeth, bones, brains and DNA. It doesn't belong in our water, any more than pesticides, arsenic, lead, cadmium or mercury and we get all with fluoride from the phosphate fertilizer industry. It's time to end water fluoridation and put fluoride through fusion reactors to turn it into some other element. Stop poisoning children and adults.

N.Z. Water fluoridation fires up opponents in New Plymouth

There were passionate scenes at the New Plymouth council chambers as councillors came under attack for allowing fluoride to be put back in the district's water supply.

Anti-fluoride placards were erected outside and several speakers railed against the government decision to fluoridate water supplies, while a lone supporter of the move struggled to get heard.

New Plymouth's drinking water has not been fluoridated since 2011, when the council voted to remove it from the city's supply.

Fluoride did not feature on Tuesday's council agenda, but that did not stop those upset at its reintroduction next month from making themselves heard.

Kane Titchener from Fluoride Free New Zealand travelled from Te Awamutu for the council meeting.

The accountant likened its effects to those of lead in paint and petrol.

"It's time that we listened and stopped fluoridation," he said.

James Kemp took aim at the former director-general of health, Sir Ashley Bloomfield.

"I can't believe we are having this conversation - we've already voted in this area 'no'. Bloomfield has stitched you all up and buggered off," Kemp said.

Frustrated at the parade of naysayers, New Plymouth grandmother Pip Abernethy tried to interject, crying out "how long are we going to have to listen to these lies", but she was shouted down.

Abernethy was ushered out of the chamber with her 'NPDC Opts 4 the Science' placard.

"I was standing up for science, for children's teeth, the Dental Association of New Zealand, the Ashley Bloomfields of this world, the Jacinda Arderns who had the courage to tell councils it's time to stop listening to the misinformation and lies and do what is right," Abernethy said.

New Plymouth Mayor Neil Holdom said there were strong opinions on fluoride, but the decision had been taken out of council's hands.

"This is an issue where government has made a determination, council has been provided with a direction and you'd be aware that penalties for not following the order from the ministry is a $250,000 fine, plus $10,000 a day and the prospect of criminal charges," Holdom said.

The council looked into providing a non-fluoridated supply from a private bore to those adamant they did not want fluoride, but legal advice did not support the idea, he said.

The Ministry of Health said strong international evidence showed there were no adverse health effects from fluoride at the levels used in New Zealand water supplies.

Proposed amendments for the consideration of the Committee of the whole House

Saturday, July 08, 2023

June 26, 2023, Bill Maher, host of the Club Random Podcast, interviewed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 2024 presidential candidate for the Democratic Party. They discussed the Kennedy family’s political history, legacy media’s fierce opposition to his bid for the presidency, ideological changes within the Democratic Party, the tragic assassination of his father, and why the claim that vaccines are “safe and effective” is false The reason the U.S. government gave vaccine makers immunity against liability is because they convinced the Reagan White House that vaccines could not be made safe and will injure certain people According to the CDC, vaccine injuries are very rare, affecting only 1 in 1 million. However, since 2010, the CDC has known that the injury rate is about 1 in 37 Vaccines have not saved millions of lives. In 2000, Johns Hopkins School of Public Health reviewed vital statistics data to assess the degree to which medical interventions contributed to the decrease in infectious disease mortality in the 20th century. Medical interventions such as antibiotics and vaccines were found to have played a minute role. The explanation for the improvement in public health was improvements in nutrition and sanitation Earlier research concluded that less than 1% of the decline in mortality from infectious disease in the U.S. in the 20th century could be attributed to modern medical interventions, including drugs, vaccines and surgeries

STORY AT-A-GLANCE June 27, 2023, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. held a Health Policy Roundtable featuring a panel of health freedom advocates Panelists included me; my good friend Dr. Patrick Gentempo; Maureen McDonnell, a holistic pediatric nurse; Dr. Pierre Kory, cofounder of the Frontline COVID Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC); filmmaker Mikki Willis; Sayer Ji, founder of Greenmed.com; and Dr. Sherri Tenpenny Kennedy wants to implement a digitized medical informatics system so that correlation studies can be rapidly done to determine the impact of drugs and vaccines on public health He also intends to redirect federal grants away from infectious disease research to study chronic disease instead. He would also end the practice of allowing scientists with the National Institutes of Health to collect royalties on products they’ve worked on Kennedy also vows to end gain-of-function research, and will work to get all nations to sign onto a treaty to ban it, as manmade pathogens have been responsible for most of the worst infectious outbreaks in modern history
