Australia - Warrumbungle residents to be quizzed on fluoride

Warrumbungle residents to be quizzed on fluoride
Residents in the six towns of the Warrumbungle Shire will be surveyed about plans to introduce fluoride into their water supplies.
Submissions on the controversial proposal were due to close last week, but the local council has extended the deadline until June 5.
Council general manager Bob Geraghty says about 60 comments have been received so far both for and against the plan.
He says a phone survey will be done in May to ensure all communities are consulted.
"Council feels that by doing this we're able to get a better understanding of people's feelings across the whole six towns," Mr Geraghty said.
"One of the issues with the submissions were that it was pretty well Coonabarabran-centric and we really want to get a feel from everyone about how they feel about fluoridation."

I hope it is more democratic than our experience in Southampton.
