UK - Oral health awareness drive launch

Ministers, MPs and peers will join dentists to mark the British Dental Health Foundation's National Smile Month.
The campaign uses the slogan "Two minutes twice a day" in an attempt to raise awareness of the importance of twice daily brushing as part of a good oral healthcare routine.Dr Nigel Carter, chief executive of the British Dental Health Foundation, said: "Brushing your teeth for two minutes twice a day with fluoride toothpaste is by far the most important thing when it comes to oral health but clinical research has found that most people only brush for 45 seconds.
"Our own research has found that one in five people brush less than twice a day, while one in 200 don't even use a brush.
"If everybody in the country were to adopt the two minutes twice a day rule for brushing with fluoride toothpaste, there is no doubt that we would see a significant improvement in oral health in this country
