Local NewsFluoride in the Drinking Water is becoming a thing of the past in Fort St. John. An agreement was reached at this monday's council meeting regarding the addition of the element in the city's drinking water. The decision comes after several complaints from concerned residents and a signed petition from over one thousand residents earlier this year. In favour of this motion- city councillor Larry Evans says the addition of fluoride in city water is unnecessary these days.
Adding that most residents in Fort St.John bypass the use of tap water, preferring to buy water from a local distributor.
The plan to eliminate fluoride in the water will take effect pending approval from the Ministry and Northern Health.Kathy Mueller -- Fort St.John
