Halo Effect of fluoride
Those who wish to push the fluoride barrow have obviously not taken into account Bio-Magnification or the Halo Effect.
A good example of this is what happened at Clear Lake in the USA.
In order to control gnats, authorities used DDD, a relative of DDT.
They diluted this chemical 1 part to 70 million parts water.
This was not effective in the long term so they increased to 1 part chemical per 50 million parts water.
Next winter birds were found dead all over the area. Literally dropping out of the sky.
The reason? Birds had extraordinarily large quantities of DDD, much greater than ever put into the water.
Researchers discovered that the chemical entered the smallest life form, concentrated in the body and passed on to the next life form until the concentrations reached the phenomenal levels found in the dead birds.
The poison passed up the food chain from plankton and eventually to people who ate fish etc from the water of Clear Lake.
All lake life examined was carrying high levels of DDD.
This Bio Magnification or Halo Effect is common to all chemicals used in our society.
According to our own Australian Dental Association guidelines for the use of fluoride, surveys should be taken of ingestion of fluoride from all sources before a decision is made to fluoridate the water supply.
This has not been done locally.
Unfortunately parts of Australia have been fluoridated for the past 60 years.
Fluoridation is so widespread now that nearly all our food and drink is contaminated by it.
If you and your family consume milk, soft drink, wine or beer, or eat any processed foods made with milk or water, you are consuming a large quantity of fluoride already.
The decision of how much fluoride to put in our water supply was made many years ago before fluoride took over our environment, and the Halo Effect is already frightening.
According to World Health Organisation and our own ADA guidelines, no baby should be given fluoride in any quantity whatever.
Children from 6 months to two years should have no more than 2.5 mg. per litre of water.
Our babies are already being dosed with fluoride through breast milk and through the amount already in baby formula as it is processed.
Even a drink of water will be unsafe.
Why should we be forced to give our children high doses of this known poison just because some of our Shire councillors feel the need to impose their wills on the people of Ballina (and Byron is next)?
If fluoride is so good, why do State governments need to legislate that the people cannot sue for health damages caused by the same fluoride they are espousing as good for us.
There is debate in the European Union as to whether or not food and drink from countries who use fluoride should be banned from being imported to Europe.
Australian exporters should start to worry.
Fluoride is a toxic by-product of the chemical industry found in their slurry pits and categorised by some as effluent.
The fluoride con job being performed on our apparently ill-informed elected representatives who buy this toxic by-product is assisting the chemical industry's problem in the disposal of this highly dangerous waste product banned under international law from being dumped in our oceans and waterways.

Wardell
