USA - Letter: it’s better to err on the side of caution
I wonder if there is a correlation between the increase in autism and pregnant women drinking fluoridated water? The fetus is also ingesting this poison; yet everybody agrees that fluoridated water should never be used in an infant’s formula.
The operative word here is “ingested.” When we get a fluoride-rinse treatment in the dental office, the hygienist always says, “Swish it around, but do not swallow it.”
Voters in Stuart must decide Jan. 29 whether to add fluoride to their drinking water. When there are many unknowns about fluoride — and known negative facts — it is better to leave our drinking water as is.
