USA - Brevard decision was the right one
To The Editor: Edward Daigle of Brevard calmly spoke before the Brevard City Council (Times-News, July 21) and told them they should look into the problems created by fluoridation. They did, and promptly voted to stop the fluoridation process beginning in September.
Congratulations to Daigle!
Maybe he could extend his magic to convince the obstinate Hendersonville City Council to also end fluoridation. The new studies showing bone cancers among young boys are up to seven times higher, violent crime and cocaine use is 21/2 times higher among blacks in fluoridation communities and ADHD, memory problems and Alzheimer's are growing with scientific studies linking them with fluoride ingestion. Fluoride is a known transporting facilitator of heavy metals (lead, aluminum, mercury, etc.) and other toxic substances into the blood system and through the blood-brain barrier into the brain.
The CDC and the ADA have announced that babies' formulas should not be made with fluoridated water to avoid dental fluorosis (first sign of fluoride poisoning: Teeth erupt permanently stained, sometimes crumbling, pitted and more subject to decay).
The CDC now admits that 32 percent of children in fluoridated areas now have some degree of dental fluorosis.
