UK Against Fluoridation

Saturday, January 06, 2007

USA - Disadvantaged suffer again even though they have the "benefit" of fluoride.

Charleston Water System adds one milligram per liter (mg/1) or one part per million (ppm) of fluoride to treated water.

Capital City Give Kids A Smile will host a day of free dental care for disadvantaged children under the age of 12. A pre-screening event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 13 in Bible Center Church gymnasium, 1111 Oakhurst Drive. The church is located on U.S. 119, across from the Ashton Place shopping center. Parents from surrounding counties are encouraged to participate in the event.

Dental services will be provided from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 2 at Smith and Smith DDS, located at 1501 Seventh Ave., as part of the national Give Kids A Smile day. Services will include cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, crowns and extractions.
