 FAN's long-time Director and co-founder, Paul Connett, PhD, is calling for a little fun to celebrate his 80th birthday on Tuesday, October 20th.  He writes:

Dear Friends,

Since 1985, I have had the great privilege of working with communities - first in the USA and Canada and since 1990 in many other countries (I am up to 69!). Since 1985 this work has involved waste management and since 1996 opposing water fluoridation.

I usually end my waste presentations with three messages:

1) To Citizens, "Don't let the experts take your common sense away."

2) To Politicians, "Put your faith back in people. They won't let you down

3) To Activists, "Have Fun."

For me the fun has been getting to know and work with so many people like you, dedicated to their communities and the health of the planet and citizens everywhere.

On October 20 I will be celebrating my 80th birthday and I would like to share the occasion with you - via a Zoom call. Please Zoom into the address (URL listed below) any time between 7 am EDT (USA) and 7 pm to swap memories and stories. Tune in any time and more than once! Because of the many time zones involved it would be helpful if you could let me know which hour you would like to call in. I suggest friends in North America tune in between 4 pm and 7 pm ET. Please spread the word.

I will have huge pleasure in sharing some of this day with you and introducing you to each other. Unfortunately, too few of you get to do what I do - meet you all in person - but this could be an opportunity to meet some remarkable people from around the world.

Absolutely no presents please - my presents will be seeing your faces and hearing your voices.
