WHAT’S happened to responsible journalism?

On Wednesday night, January 24, there was a news report on WIN News Central West in relation to the current policy of Oberon Council regarding fluoridation. 

The reporter said that almost 96 per cent of NSW was fluoridated, but that is not correct. 

Ninety-six per cent of local government areas may have some fluoridation, but in many of these areas, there is a significant proportion of the population who receive no water fluoridation. 

But how about this - 377,655,000 million people live in areas where their water supply contains artificially fluoridated water, which is only five per cent of the world’s population. 

I’d like to stay with the majority please – the 95 per cent who don’t fluoridate.
