Mackay Regional Council's infrastructure and services standing committee will consider a report on the issue when it meets on Wednesday.
Sarina-based councillor Martin Bella last month asked council officers to deliver a report to see if it was possible for Sarina to retain fluoride in its water supply as the water was supplied by a different treatment plant to Mackay.
Cr Bella said a phone survey of regional residents, used in the council's controversial decision to remove fluoride in September had revealed a majority of Sarina residents were against removal.
Sarina and its beach areas are supplied with water from multiple sources including Plane Creek, numerous groundwater bores and the Pioneer River.
The report recommendation, to be put to the meeting, is that the preferred technical solution to fluoridate the water supply for Sarina and its beaches would be to maintain the supply via Nebo Road water treatment plant, with the relocation of the fluoride dosing system from Marwood Bores to Alligator Creek Water Pump Station.
The report states the fluoride dosing systems were currently being managed to be turned off on Monday, November 7....................
