Fluoride under fire: Banning chemical makes little headway in Michigan
Fluoride was first added to municipal drinking water in the 1940s, with Grand Rapids leading the way. While the scientific and dental communities broadly support fluoride's benefits, the issue was controversial from the beginning, as these materials from King County, Wash., circa 1951, attest. Antifluoridationists don't read any scientific studies. They simply post verbatim blurbs about them which they copy/paste from antifluoridationist websites. That's why they can't defend those studies them when the flaws are exposed. They hardly even know what they have copy/pasted, much less any understanding of the study itself.
