USA - Sallisaw treatment plant among 35 for excellence
The City of Sallisaw Water Treatment Plant is one of 35 water systems in the state that has received a Water Fluoridation Quality Award from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The announcement was made Thursday by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Fluoridation is the adjustment of fluoride in drinking water to a level that is effective in preventing tooth decay.
The award recognizes those systems in Oklahoma that achieved excellence in community water fluoridation by maintaining a consistent level of fluoridated water at least nine months through 2014, the state health department said....
Can't understand why they dish out quality awards shouldn't all water treatment plants have the same standards? If they haven't why not?
