No Fluoride Please!

In an article in Friday's paper I see that some area's of New Hanover county will soon be getting fluoride in their water. I strongly urge the residents to fight against this. Why?
Fluoride helps prevent cavities. A good thing. It is also a prescription drug. Not a good thing! Does everybody need the same drug, ...and do they need it forced upon them? If it was safe for all, it would not be a prescription. Adults do not need fluoride, and it can be detrimental to those with kidney disease, as well as those with other health issues. People ingest varying amounts of water, so doses are not consistent. Those who would benefit the most are probably the children who are drinking soda pop instead of water anyway.
Fluoride content increases with boiling of water, so any boiled foods have a highr content.
Water treatment plants.. can and do fail. This could result in dangerous amounts being released in the system.
For those wishing fluoride for your children, pills can easily be prescribed from your dentist. For those who cannot afford pills, a voucher from the county would be much cheaper than an unnecessary and possibly detramental system.
This system will not affect me, but I strongly urge the people that it will to think twice before this happens.
