San Diego City Council Will Begin Fluoridating Water Supply

The San Diego City Council has given the OK to adding fluoride to the city's water supply.
A county-run commission is footing the $4 million fluoridation bill for the next two years. The city won't be obligated to continue the program after that.
Right now only nine percent of San Diego's water supply is treated. California state law requires large water providers to fluoridate once the funding is available.
San Diego is the largest city in the nation without fluoridated water.

The $4m would go a longway in improving children's dental health if it was targeted rather than poisoning everybody.
