My fluoride in water findings will shock you Sir - Regarding your article 'Stop the rot, let's discuss fluoride in our water supply', I for one totally support a campaign for clean fluoride-free water for Bedford.About six years ago I began suffering with prostate problems, well known to many middle aged men, so I resolved to find out the causes and cure of this problem for myself.During my research I discovered the detrimental effects of fluoride on the human body.Many books have been written about the long-term dangers of fluoride. It seems to me that the only people in favour of adding fluoride to our water are those who haven't studied the subject, which I urge anyone who values their health to do.May I end this letter with this with one small quote from the late chief scientist, Dr Dean Burk, of the National Cancer Institute USA: 'Fluoride causes more human cancer death, and causes it faster than any other chemical.' P.S: By drinking pure water and nutritional therapy my prostate is now symptom free.

Let us be toxin free Sir - I am an alternative health practitioner. I have been living temporarily in Bedford for the last few weeks and was asked to speak at a meeting of the Bedford Allergy Support Group on January 10, 2008.I have been made aware of the dangers to our health of fluoridating water by this group.I was horrified to see all the evidence of the poisoning effects of fluoride.I live in an area where the water is not fluoridated. Since being in Bedford I have been buying bottled water to drink, particularly as my mother died of cancer aged only 45 and I believe there are links with fluoride poisoning and cancer.I think that it should be the right of people all over England to drink pure unfluoridated water.In the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, 2000 Article 3, Right to the integrity of the person, it states: 1. Everyone has the right to respect for his or her physical and mental integrity.2. In the fields of medicine and biology, the following must be respected in particular: the free and informed consent of the person concerned.Everyone needs to be correctly informed before fluoride is added to the water.According to Phillip Day, Health Wars www.campaignfortruth.com 'Fluoride accumulates in the body like lead, inflicting its damage over long periods of time. Flouride is more toxic than lead and just slightly less toxic than arsenic'.Anyone who wishes to take fluoride can take it in tablet form leaving the rest of us toxin free.
