Cunningham Utility District stands by decision to not fluoridate water

The Cunningham Utility District Board of Directors stood by their decision to not fluoridate the area's water at their meeting tonight, citing its possible link to cancer and the availability of fluoride through other products.
"If we do put it in, you don't have a choice," said General Manager John Atkins. "If we don't put it in, you do have a choice." Cunningham resident Nadine St. John spoke to the board, asking them to put the flouride back then. The board said it would only be done if it was mandated by the state.
