USA - Kentucky - Free dental screenings coming to 12 schools

Free dental screenings coming to 12 schools
More children can get free dental screenings through a new partnership between Smile Kentucky! and the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness.
The department's mobile health unit will visit 12 Jefferson County elementary schools for the screenings.
Officials kicked off the program yesterday at Portland Elementary School, where third-, fourth- and fifth-graders got free screenings and learned how much sugar is in a 20-ounce soda and a breakfast snack.
Smile Kentucky! provides dentists and hygienists to screen children in grades three through six, as well as health educators to teach children in kindergarten through sixth grade how to brush and floss their teeth, identify the amount of sugar in snacks and the importance of fluoride.
