WASHINGTON: Check your toothpaste; it may poison you
The government warned consumers Friday to toss toothpaste made in China because it may contain a poisonous chemical used in antifreeze.
The Food and Drug Administration said people should throw away toothpaste with labeling that it was made in China. The alert says the agency found the chemical in Cooldent Fluoride, Cooldent Spearmint, Cooldent ICE and Shir Fresh Mint Fluoride Paste.
