Commonly prescribed drugs were stolen in Italy & then sold to British pharmacists & hospitals, exposing patients to potentially lethal consequences.  Stockpiles of medications were deemed unsafe & health chiefs admit they have no record of who they were prescribed to.  Among them is prostate cancer treatment bicalutamide (Casodex) & the statin rosuvastatin (Crestor), antidepressants, drugs for Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis & epilepsy & asthma medicines etc.  “Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Agency” were alerted in Aug 2014 yet failed to warn patients.  “Dispatches” TV documentary state that tampered-with drugs have entered the UK supply chain at least 9 times in the last 10 years.   Leading pharmacologists say these pills could at best be ineffective.  At worst, they might contain toxic potentially lethal substances.
