The Norwegians forbade the use of fluoride lubricants in ski youth competitions

The Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF) has banned the use of fluoride-based lubricants in competitions up to 16 years in cross-country skiing. As NSF informed, there are three reasons for this decision, which was taken at a meeting on Sunday in Oslo and became effective on Monday.

The most important are the negative health effects such as possible infertility, reduced immunity and liver disease and carcinogenicity already proven in studies.
