Both private and NHS dentists (UK) all seem to be totally unaware of the reports on fluoride, in my experience, and will try and get you to leave toothpaste (which is containing fluoride) on the teeth after brushing them with it! They also recommend using fluoride mouth wash. This seems to be their only answers when you ask them about how to protect the teeth from rot. Why is this do you think?

Because they are told that is the best solution to treat dental caries. After 5 years training following those guide lines it would take some changing.
