Too Much Sugar Too Little Brushing - Southampton

It would be entirely wrong to conclude that campaigners were wrong to fight off the the threat of fluoride being added to our tap water, simply because local children’s dental health is still a massive problem.
The best way to tackle this issue is through parental responsibility, making sure that kids don’t eat and drink too much sugar and that they brush their teeth twice a day.
Perhaps the government’s newly announced sugar tax will help reduce demand for sugar loaded fizzy drinks.
It’s also another reason our Sure Start Centres should remain open. Sometimes parents need a bit of encouragement to do the right thing and access to early interventions that have health benefits can achieve long term savings and avoid a lot of misery.
