Paul summarises the Harvard meta-analysis of the 27 studies that found a lowered IQ was associated with exposure to fairly modest doses of fluoride. He reviews the findings of one of the more rigorous IQ studies from China, illustrating that when one examines all the other studies into fluoride's neurotoxicity for both humans and other animals it should come as no surprise that IQ is lowered. He argues that since fluoride's neurotoxicity has now been acknowledged in major scientific journals, the continued support of water fluoridation by public health authorities can only be described as “reckless”.
