UK Against Fluoridation

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

Australia - The Liberal National Party has endorsed a bodybuilder and anti-fluoride campaigner to run for them again in Queensland election.

The LNP confirmed on Tuesday that first-term Member for Nudgee Jason Woodforth, along with Ipswich MP Ian Berry and Ipswich West MP Sean Choat had been endorsed to run next year's state election.
Mr Woodforth has risen to prominence for speaking out against adding fluoride to drinking water.
The state government handed over control of fluoride to councils when it came to power in 2012.
A total of 13 shires have removed the chemical from their drinking water despite protests by Australia's top medical lobby.
Mr Woodforth has claimed 30 of his LNP colleagues wanted fluoride outlawed and labelled it a "brain-altering poison".
Last year he said he'd rather spend the rest of his life taking the banned performance-enhancing substance IGF-1 than drinking fluoridated water.

Mr Woodforth also once called for an end to personal attacks in parliament, after Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney used parliamentary privilege to accuse federal MP and mining magnate Clive Palmer of being a crook.
