Australia - Sinking our teeth into dental care
Sinking our teeth into dental care

The Brotherhood of St Laurence based in Melbourne is one of my favourite non-government organisations. Not only does it provide services for the disadvantaged and vulnerable in our society, it commissions research to assist policy-makers in their work. It's a leader in its field.
Last week it published a report on dental care in Australia, End of Decay by Bronwyn Richardson and Jeff Richardson. It found a significant number of Australians cannot afford adequate care. Not only is this a major health issue it is also undermining our productivity with at least one million work days and 600,000 school days lost each year because of poor dental health.......
Fluoridated Australia.

That is shocking numbers to me for a 1st world country like Australia. Thank goodness for groups like the Brotherhood to help with making changes happen.
