Chained protester fights fluoride plan
A protester has chained himself to the gates where Mount Gambier's fluoridation plant will be established in the south-east of South Australia.
Alex Young collected thousands of signatures on a petition opposing the change.
He says Health Minister John Hill has not responded but needs to answer to the people of Mount Gambier.
"This action here is a last resort because in the face of absence of any legislative decision on fluoridation, we as a community are perfectly within our right to make this stance and demand of the Minister that we be given a choice in the matter," he said.
Mr Hill has declined to comment.
