Fluoride: Dennis just doesn't know what he is talking about

I ASKED anti-fluoride campaigner Dennis Edmondson why people in areas where fluoride occurs naturally and where it has been added for 40 years are not suffering from the ailments he claims fluoride causes (Your say, September 7).
He replied (Your say, September 21) that they do, but the health services conceals it by instructing pathology labs not to examine urine, blood or other biological specimens for fluoride.
If that is true and tests are not made, then how does he know that the cause of death was fluoride?
He doesn't.

Sorry Mr Sunderland, the statistics have been questioned and those questions have been ignored by the Dept of Health.
Another example, I asked a passionate Tory MP supporter of fluoridation of our water (he wants it introduced everywhere in the UK), for the current research he was basing his opinion that fluoride was safe.ie. post 1980. You'll wait a long time, Rob. It's never been tested for safety, either pre or post 1980. And the pro-fluoridation brigade still maintain it's safe. There's none so blind as those that refuse to see.
And, Mr Sunderland; attacking one individual - whether he's right or wrong - doesn't make fluoridation right.

Chemists report that naturally occuring fluoride in drinking water is calcium fluoride; whereas the toxic waste fluoride added is Hydrofluorosilicic Acid. The natural calcium fluoride does not build up in the body. One half of the toxic waste fluoride builds up in the body causing vast health problems such as cancer, brittle bones resulting in broken hips and lowered IQ.
However, even the naturally occuring fluoride causes health problems at higher levels. The U.N. reports that tens of millions of people are suffering from excess natural fluoride in India, China, Turkey and other countries. They walk all bent over and their bones are brittle like glass and shatter if they fall. They have increased cancer and usually die before age 50.

Dear David,
The most current studies prove little if any benefit of ingested fluorides in decreased cavities. Warren Levy 2008 Iowa, Kumar NY 2009. Show clearly more dental fluoroisis with increased fluorides but no measurable cavity decrease. 20 researchers confirm no mechanism of ingested benefit and not even show topical benefit at 1ppm. The old theory is still a theory with no proof of benefit or safety for mechanism. It is easy to pick known groups with better and worse teeth by income as that is related to outcome in every state. CDC data shows no cavity relationship in a single state to fluoridation. Rich have3 better teeth in every state and they drink the bottled non fluoridated water. Dr Osmunson DDS shows this data and also 9 of the nations with the best teeth do not fluoridate. Very few fluoridate and have no better results.
David ,I am sure you believe lead and aluminum are not good for humans. Maas 2007 Coplan 2007 both confirm fluoridation is excellent for leaching lead from pipes ,solder, brass and is even 9 times better with the new disinfectant chloramine. Very destructive for corrosion also as Marc Edwards of Virginia Tech warned of tens of BILLIONS of damage to pipes and water and mildue damage in homes which should get attention of anyone. Washington DC had this problem in 2000 and discovered lead levels immediately but hid them from the public for almost three years. Illegally of course as the levels were hundreds and even thousands of times over the 15ppb limit. The EPA had known of this danger but told not one city.
Boiling fluoridated water in aluminum pans has been confirmed in three labs in three countries to leach 200ppm aluminum in 10 minutes of boiling and 600ppm in 30 minutes. This is many times over the safe level as The WHO confirms. The public is never warned as this happens in your house not the water plant. Buyer beware.
