Fluoride: What to know about this permitted poison lurking in our water systems

Fluoride: What to know about this permitted poison lurking in our water systems

Remember when it felt safe and normal to drink from our sinks while not being thoroughly aware of what exactly is being added to the water? Some may not care, yet some may be oblivious. Has it not seemed wholly absurd to some, especially to our respected elders, that purchasing bottled water for $1.25 and up from the local grocery store seem laughable and downright ridiculous? Absolutely. It was a commonality in society to drink water daily from our faucets without any concern for any kind of health hazard. But presently, we have been proven wrong and our current generation has unfolded into cautious, uncertain, ignorant and rather confusing times. Today, people are drinking and cooking with this tasteless, controversial and vastly misunderstood toxic chemical that lurks within our tap water called Fluoride.

Over the past few decades it has been told by our dentists among others in governmental agencies and power that it is safe to ingest or use fluoride topically on one’s teeth to prevent cavities and/or tooth decay. While it may be deemed safer to apply topically (even though inevitable ingestion occurs), ingesting Fluoride is absolutely hazardous and detrimental to our health. We have been told incorrect information due to the research studies proving otherwise that Fluoride is hazardous. There are other safe methods one can follow to prevent cavities and maintain strong bones.

What exactly is Fluoride? What does it do? It is a drug and a toxic chemical compound derived from Fluorine (a yellow flammable gas and oxidizing agent) and it is known as a neurotoxin and a mutagen which can lead to brain damage among other genetic damages, defects and DNA mutations. Fluoride is also an active ingredient in the use of pesticides, herbicides, and other rodent repellents. Many of the other physical side effects in humans from Fluoride are thyroid dysfunction or even thyroid cancers, arthritic bone disease, teeth enamel defects in children, gastrointestinal problems, bone marrow and immune dysfunction, respiratory illnesses, low levels of melatonin circulation in the pineal gland in the brain, and potential infertility and reproductive problems.

Why has this been integrated into our water systems? With all of the research proving Fluoride toxicity, why is it still allowed to be entered into the water supply? Is this another evil scheme or so called, “guinea pig” experiment to see how well duped we are until we notice how long it takes for the health effects listed above to kick in? There has been a clear manipulation of moral ethics and ignorance bestowed upon the general public in believing that Fluoride is safe, or that the exposure to only trace amounts of this toxic element is okay for the body to dispose of. What we are not taking into consideration is the effect the huge variations in consumption over the years of ingestion has on top of understanding that there is no such thing as safe, trace amounts of Fluoride. There are many ways to rid this element from your life by purchasing Fluoride-free toothpaste and purchasing various spring waters and/or specific water filtering systems that prevent Fluoride seepage.
