Australia - Fluoride to be added to Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance water

The Victorian Government has given the go-ahead for fluoride to go into the water supplies of Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance, in the state's east.
The Department of Human Services says the measure is backed by health ministers, dentists and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The department's spokesman, Bram Alexander, says it is expected the fluoride will be added by early next year.
He says the fluoride will not cause any noticeable changes to the water, and concerns it could be dangerous to human health are unfounded.
"If we didn't believe it was safe and effective, we wouldn't be introducing it to water supplies," he said.
"At the recommended dose of one part per million, fluoride is beneficial for dental health."

He knows best!
