Residents in one Montgomery County community will soon have a chance to chime in on a fight over fluoride. The Pottstown Borough Authority has given the green light to stop using fluoride in water. Officials say cutting it could save the borough about $50,000 a year. But, opponents say fluoride is a major benefit, especially when it comes to fighting cavities. Public hearings will now be scheduled. The borough will make a final decision after that.
