Australia - Queensland to get fluoridated water

Queensland to get fluoridated water
The Queensland Parliament has passed laws to allow for water fluoridation, despite calls for a referendum by the state's Opposition.
Dental and health experts have long called for Queensland's water to be fluoridated to prevent tooth decay, however the Opposition's own Health spokesman, who is a Dentist by training, called for a referendum.
John Paul Langbroek said that a popular vote should be taken on the contentious issue because of its wide reaching effects.
However the state's Health Minister Stephen Robertson rejected the argument, saying that polling revealed most Queenslanders wanted their water fluoridated.
"Poll after poll has shown that the majority of Queenslanders support fluoridation," he said.
"Protecting teeth against decay through water fluoridation will result in significant long term benefits by reducing the cost to Queensland families and to the Government of treating dental disease."

Do we beleive that? If right I would think the question asked was slanted in a way designed to make you vote yes.
