UK Against Fluoridation

UK The Department of Health has recently updated its Guidance Notes

The Department of Health has recently updated its Guidance Notes “Fluoridation of Drinking Water” which have been circulated to SHA’s and PCT’s. It is accessible on http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Publicationsandstatistics/Lettersandcirculars/Dearcolleagueletters/DH_082666 and makes for interesting reading. I would draw your attention particularly to paragraphs 27 and 28 which gives us a good idea of what is coming in any possible public consultations, in particular, “the cogency of arguments relevant to an evidence database”. The public need to be aware that any letters sent in during the consultation period will only be counted if they are evidenced based and we need to find a way of informing the public as soon as possible. The document is well worth a read and you will no doubt find it a bit provocative in places. It would appear that this document is virtually a MANIFESTO that SHA’s and PCT’s are following and, whilst it may be a pious hope, it struck me that it may be possible for us (anti-fluoridationists) to unite (APPGAF, UKCAF, NPWA, FoE, local activist groups, etc) and produce an OPPOSITION MANIFESTO which could form the basis of our continuing fight.Your views would be welcome.
