Bligh meets with fluoride protesters

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh today met a small group of anti-fluoride campaigners, who protested outside Parliament this morning.
Spokesman Dr John Ryan says the Government has conceded water fluoridation alone will not solve the state's dental problems and he believes the laws should be put on hold.
"The Government also concedes that the best way to get fluoride is topically in your mouth, not systemically," he said.
"If sunscreen is very good for the skin you don't swallow it, you brush your teeth with it and that's when the educational process should come in."
