USA - Vote no to proposal to add 'poisonous' chemical to water

Letter: Vote no to proposal to add 'poisonous' chemical to water
Saturday, December 1, 2007
Warning to all Stuart mothers and grandmothers: Stuart commissioners will hold a ballot referendum Jan. 19, 2008, for voters to decide if the commissioners can fluoridate Stuart water to prevent cavities in children. They do not mention they will fluoridate with hydrofluorosilicic acid, a dangerous toxic waste of the fertilizer industry (check out: www.indresgroup.com/safety_hydacid.htm). Fluoride does not harden teeth; it is a poisonous, corrosive element that chews through concrete. It has caused a children’s epidemic of dental fluorosis — corroding teeth. Twenty years of scientific research have proven fluoridated water causes cancer (www.fluoridealert.org/epa-unions1.pdf).
The American Dental Association is now “Celebrating 60 Years of Fluoridating Water.” Their success now has America in a losing battle with a fluoride-cancer epidemic.
Before the ADA poisoned public water with fluoride in 1947, I heard two adults asking if they knew anyone with cancer. Both said no. Today, do you know anyone — or their family or friends — that is not afflicted with life-threatening cancer? Should anyone suffering from osteoporosis, a generic name for skeletal fluorosis, drink fluoride?
Parents, do you want to risk ending up in a children’s cancer ward? Thousands of children with cancer are being tortured with chemotherapy’s painful side-effects: radiation burns, risky surgery and the amputation of limbs.
Check these Web sites — www.fluoridealert.org/health/cancer; www.codibug.com/parents.htm; and www.stjude.org — and see the faces of children fighting cancers. One tearful mother who lived a nightmare with her baby girl said, “why did she have to suffer so much before she died?”
The Martin County Commission canceled its fluoridation plans. Nations in Europe have wisely rejected fluoridated water. This January, parents must get residents out to vote “no” to prevent reckless politicians — for some ungodly reason — from adding poisonous hydrofluorosilicic acid to Stuart water.
