COUNCILS TAKE STEPS TO REDUCE WATER FLUORIDE LEVELS
Galway City and County Councils have begun taking steps to reduce the levels of fluoride in public water supplies.
They are 2 of several local authorities across the country which are abiding by new regulations which came into effect on Sunday.
Under the new regulations the levels of fluoride added to public water supplies have to be reduced from 1 milligrammes per litre to a max of 0.8 mgs per litre.
