Watsonville Says 'No' to Fluoride

WATSONVILLE, Calif.— After losing two previous court challenges, the city of Watsonville wants the California Supreme Court to hear its case against a state order to add fluoride to its water supply.
The City Council voted Tuesday to take its legal battle against the state Department of Health Services’ order mandating fluoridation to the state’s highest court. For nearly three years, Watsonville has been fighting the order to add fluoride, which many dental experts believe prevents tooth decay.
