Canada - Fluoride debate continues in Tecumseh, LaSalle

Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara is pro-fluoride, LaSalle's Ken Antaya has said he's comfortable leaving it out

Windsor city council voted to resume fluoridation last month, but since the same water supply is shared with Tecumseh and LaSalle, at least one of those towns must also agree to the change.
Expect another round in the long-running fight over fluoride in the early part of 2019.
Windsor city council voted to resume fluoridation last month, but since the same water supply is shared with Tecumseh and LaSalle, at least one of those towns must also agree to the change.
Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara is pro-fluoride, while LaSalle's Ken Antaya has said he's comfortable leaving it out.
CBC News reached out to the rest of the council members on their holiday break, to see where they stand. None of the people interviewed was ready to a firm position.
"I'm torn," said Joe Bachetti, Tecumseh's deputy mayor. "We need to give it a good, healthy discussion and debate and listen to both sides. Both sides have valuable input."
