USA - Water board to have public hearing Tuesday on fluoride
by Jim Davis STAFF WRITER
Water board President Al Cox — who cast the lone vote against discontinuing the practice — requested the hearing to give the public a chance to comment on the April 28 decision.
“They took a vote to eliminate fluoride without any public notification they were going to do that,” Cox said of fellow water board members Paul Howe and Charlie Thayer.

“I felt strongly that even though they’ve already voted, at least the public should have the opportunity to voice their opinion about this,” he added.
The regular meeting begins at 2:30 p.m. at the water board’s offices, 1001 S. Chestnut St.
Howe and Thayer have said they are concerned that longtime consumption of fluoride could be harmful to people’s health...............
