Ireland - Waterford City and County Council object to the government's water fluoridation policy
WATERFORD
Waterford City and County Council have passed a motion calling on the government to reverse its mandatory water fluoridation policy.
Waterford is the 13th Council since the beginning of 2014 to formally adopt such a position.
Campaigners say adding fluoride to water is harmful to public health, while many dentists say it helps save people from tooth decay

Dentists may say "it helps save people from tooth decay". They can say it until they are blue in the face. But the dentist who tried to enter into a debate on this with me recently ended up proving he knew nothing about fluoridation - and just got stroppy because I refused to accept his white-coated status of an endorsement! What on earth makes them so arrogant?

We were lucky in Southampton we had the support of two dentists who were as opposed to fluoridation as much as we were.
